This website is provided by Satori Career Development (KvK 42038628), based in Leiden, the Netherlands. It offers information about my coaching and leadership development work and a way to get in touch or book an introductory call.
THE NATURE OF MY WORK
Career coaching supports your own reflection, clarity and decision-making. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic treatment, and it does not replace professional advice from a doctor, psychologist or other qualified specialist. You remain responsible for your own choices and decisions.
NO GUARANTEES
I bring care, experience and full attention to my work, and I cannot guarantee any specific outcome. The results of coaching depend in large part on your own engagement and circumstances.
BOOKING A CALL
Booking an introductory call creates no obligation on either side. Any coaching engagement that follows is agreed separately, in writing or by email, before it begins.

WHAT I COLLECT AND WHY
When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and the content of your message. I use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads there, to arrange working together. The basis for this is your consent and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
When you book a call through Calendly, the booking is handled by Calendly, which collects the details you enter, such as your name, email and chosen time. Calendly acts as a processor on my behalf. Calendly is based in the United States, and the transfer of your data is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can read how Calendly handles data in its own privacy policy at calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.
When you visit the website, limited technical and cookie data may be collected, as described in the Cookies section below.
HOW LONG I KEEP IT
I keep enquiry and booking information only as long as needed to respond to you and, where we work together, for the duration of our engagement. [PLACEHOLDER: Elena to confirm retention, e.g. enquiry data deleted within 12 months of last contact if no engagement follows; records relating to invoiced work kept for 7 years to meet Dutch tax obligations.]
WHO HAS ACCESS
I do not sell your data or share it for marketing. I share it only with the service providers that help me run my practice, such as Calendly for bookings and Squarespace for hosting, and only to the extent they need it to provide that service.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and request a copy in portable form. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email me at elena.velema@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

I take reasonable measures to keep your data safe and work only with providers that do the same.
